Racing For A Cure

The Racing For A Cure videos highlight amazing arthritis athletes and athletes competing to support others with arthritis. They define what it means to be on the team, be arthritis athletes, support arthritis research for a cure and to make a difference. The Racing For A Cure team is dedicated to finding a cure for the different forms of arthritis. From rheumatoid arthritis to lupus to juvenile arthritis and osteoarthritis, we are a team, nay a family, in the fight to find a cure. Join the team today!

Helgi Olafson

Arthritis Athletes don’t get much tougher than, Helgi Olafson, a Racing For A Cure Athlete who is also afflicted with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS). His AS can be debilitating, but his is determined to show the world that you can thrive despite having Ankylosing Spondylitis. Join Helgi and the Racing For A Cure team

Fraser Perkins

Dr. Fraser Perkins, a marathon athlete and supporter of juvenile arthritis, ran the 2014 Boston Marathon for the Arthritis National Research Foundation’s Racing For A Cure team in order to raise funds for arthritis research.

Overall, a collective $10,000 was raised to benefit juvenile arthritis research.

Dina Neils

After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, Dina was told she would be in a wheelchair by age 25. At 29 she completed her first triathlon and is inspiring the arthritis community to make a difference and join Racing For A Cure! By being on our team of arthritis athletes, Dina is letting the world know that it is time fore a cure!
